Background:  Currently a large block of land (over 2000m²) with a single dwelling.  The land has been purchased by a Developer who has applied to Council for a permit to build 6 double story units.

M.R.G. Stance & Activities:  M.R.G. believes the proposed development is aesthetically out of character with the surrounding area and it is a gross over development of the land.  There will be very little space remaining for any significant revegetation of medium to large trees. 

Current Status:  As the Developer has met all of the “minimum requirements” necessary but has been forced to agree to “various concessions to adjacent neighbours”, a building permit is therefore likely to be granted.
